WORKSHOP Session 1: Using Technology to Facilitate the 90% Target Language Classroom Session 2: Film Teaching at Novice By Bonnie Chunmeng Wang
In the 1st session, the presenter will share effective instructional skills based on technology, such as searching copyrighted visual/audio information, modifying authentic materials, designing assessments by Google products or EdPuzzle, etc. Participating teachers will receive a list of practical software and applications, and have hands-on activities to create their own tech-based learning or classroom management activities.
In the 2nd session, the presenter will discuss the selection of appropriate films for students in different levels in high school classrooms and investigates various strategies based on the ACTFL World-Readiness Standards and Proficiency Guidelines. Participating teachers will have the unit plans of selected films and also share their own curricular approaches to using classical or modern films. We invite you to join us for the workshop.
